is the Institute for socially engaged art and theory
founded in Ljubljana in 2009.

MINA investigates and intervenes into the relationship between
arts, theory, and knowledge production in the context of the
cultural transformations in societies through contemporary
political critique.

Within the scope of the MINA’s cross-disciplinary research,
interactive models of cultural production, relevant case studies,
individual, and group activities are evolved in close cooperation
with an internationally emerging community that has generated a
range of creative, reflective, and critical interventions in everyday life.
MINA gathers the established and the upcoming artists, cultural workers,
theorists, scholars, activists who are wrapped up in related issues around
the forthcoming local, regional and international research, production,
archivization or collection projects.
